Function is run by an individual in India and has two parts:
This policy covers both. If a section does not apply to the part you use, it does not apply to you.
What trusted group members can see: your name, photo, city, specialty, equipment profile and free/busy availability. They cannot see client names, booking amounts, payment status, costs, profit, private notes, private ratings or enquiry details.
What stays private to you: client names, booking amounts, payment status, costs, profit, private notes, private ratings and customer enquiries.
When a photographer creates an event on functionapp.in, we store their email address and a scrambled (hashed) password, the event name and date, and the photos they upload. Photos are held in encrypted cloud storage.
Every gallery and everything in it is deleted automatically 30 days after it is created. That includes the photos, the face data described below, album selections and delivery status. This runs nightly and is not optional.
Gallery links are long and unguessable, and are excluded from search engines. Only people the photographer shares the link with can open it.
This is the most sensitive thing we do, so in plain terms:
If a photographer switches this on, a client can tick the photos they want in their album. We store the first name they type and which photos they ticked. No phone number, no email, no account. Each list is held by a random code stored in that person’s own browser, so one guest cannot see another’s list. Selections are deleted with the gallery at 30 days.
A photographer may create a page at functionapp.in/p/their-name. Nothing on it is public until they choose to publish it. Once published, anyone can see what they entered — studio name, city, specialty, description, work photos, Instagram — and their phone number only if they ticked the box to show it. They can unpublish at any time and the page stops being visible immediately.
Function does not verify or endorse any photographer listed on the site.
The profit calculator and quotation builder run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.
If paid features are switched on, payments are handled by Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to them — we never see or store them. We keep only the payment reference and amount so we know what has been paid for.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your photos or your clients’ photos to train any AI model.
We use a small number of service providers to operate: cloud hosting, storage and database (Cloudflare), authentication and database for the app (Supabase), email delivery, push notifications, crash diagnostics (Sentry), and payments (Razorpay). They may only process data on our instructions.
You can delete your app account at any time from Profile → Delete Account — see the account deletion page. To delete a website account, listing or public page, use the site or email us and we will do it. Limited records may be kept where the law requires it for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting or a dispute.
Function is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Wedding photographs may of course include children; those photos belong to the photographer and their client, are visible only to people holding the gallery link, and are deleted after 30 days. If you believe a child’s photo is on the site and should not be, email us and we will remove it.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use Function after a change means you accept it.
